What is this?

 

Twofold provides assistance and help at home, with individually planned packages to help older clients stay living in their own homes.

 

 

What are the details?
 

We have a variety of packages, all of which are individually planned and tailored after an initial assessment. Here is the full range of domestic assistance services:

 

  • Essential cleaning: bathrooms, toilets, kitchens, laundries, living areas and bedrooms. Workers clean stoves, bench tops and fridges, as well as mopping or vacuuming floors, dusting, dishwashing

  • Laundry: change bed linen, wash, dry and iron clothes

  • Workers can assist with meal preparation and although it is not the primary purpose of the service, workers can also do shopping, undertake small errands & pay bills on behalf of clients as required, whilst doing their own shopping or on their way to the clients house.

  • Assisting seeing professionals like physiotherapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, dentists and podiatrists

  • Staying connected with your activities, interests, friends and community

  • Gardening and home maintenance

  • Changes to your home to make it safer and easier for you to live there, including advice about staying at home.

  • Nurse visits, and also providing bandages and other items needed to look after wounds

  • Providing technological devices, equipment and other items that help you do things like get around, look after your personal hygiene, make yourself understood and generally stay safe.

 


Am I eligible?

 

We provide for the following persons and their carers:

 

  • Persons of 50+ years of age

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of all ages

  • Disabled adults and their carers

  • Persons referred by the current health provider who are suffering from a chronic health condition

 

 

How do I apply?

 

A face-to-face assessment is required for access to our services.

 

You can request an assessment for yourself, for someone you know, or for a family member who you think is at risk or in need of our services. We also offer referrals to other services that may be better suited to the clients needs.
